Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Key Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity A&A SME, you will be instrumental in:
• Applying expert knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST A&A to execute the complete authorization lifecycle for critical DOD systems.
• Conducting in-depth assessments of Information Assurance Controls and performing comprehensive Certification & Accreditation reviews for large, complex organizations.
• Interpreting and implementing DOD cybersecurity policy, procedures, and processes related to the authorization process, including Zero Trust principles, SCCA FRD, and SRG.
• Providing subject matter expertise on the cybersecurity implications of emerging technologies, including Cloud environments, Industrial Control Systems (ICSs), Operational Technology (OT) infrastructures, and warehouse execution systems.
• Supporting DoD Audit Readiness efforts through meticulous documentation and control assessment.
• Translating complex technical issues into clear, concise business and technical writing.
• Utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve security issues efficiently.

Required Qualifications
Experience and Expertise
• Five (5) years of relevant experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST A&A.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing Information Assurance Controls and conducting Certification & Accreditation reviews for large, complex organizations.
• Proven expertise in the general tenets supporting the overall DOD implementation of its authorization process.
Security Clearance and Certifications
• Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at the time of proposal submission.
• DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification at time of submission: IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.).
• Must be certified as a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
Computing Environment Certification
Must possess at least one industry Cloud certification from the following list:
