The US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a leading-edge initiative directly supporting critical DoD intelligence information sharing addressing current and emerging global threats to mission partners, coalition forces, and developing nations. With a globally distributed team aligned with each combatant command, US BICES-X plays a vital role in supporting the warfighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and highly motivated professional eager to tackle real-world challenges within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the architecture, deployment, and ongoing management of complex network solutions, adhering strictly to NSA CSfC guidelines. This includes utilizing multi-layered encryption, approved hardware/software, and certified product lists.
• Ensure continuous operation, availability, and security of the "Enterprise Gray" infrastructure, emphasizing integration and compliance with CSfC principles for classified data handling.
• Configure and manage diverse network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, IDPS, VPN concentrators) ensuring all configurations meet CSfC and other security standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including those related to encryption, routing, and access control within the CSfC architecture.
• Implement and enforce stringent security policies, perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks within the CSfC environment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, security procedures, and CSfC compliance, ensuring adherence to NSA, DoD, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate security best practices.
• Mentor junior network administrators on CSfC principles and secure network operations.
• Develop and implement CSfC network disaster recovery and business continuity plans for rapid incident recovery and resilience.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient and reliable data flow within the secure CSfC environment.
• Provide on-call support for critical network issues, ensuring swift resolution during off-hours.
Required Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 10+ years of direct experience implementing and maintaining networks.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent industry-recognized networking certification.
• Security+ CE or equivalent security certification.
• Expertise in network security principles, protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS, VPNs, ISAKMP, ESP), and best practices.
• Proven expertise in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, STP).
• Expertise in network security policy implementation and security device configuration.
• Demonstrated proficiency with HAIPE encryption devices.
• Proficiency in administering and securing various operating systems and virtualized environments that support network services.
• Strong understanding of Department of Defense and other government security regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered security issues.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and autonomous work skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical
• concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to perform systems maintenance duties after-hours and on weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP, or other relevant professional-level networking certifications.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or CASP+.
• ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or v4).
• Experience administering and supporting network access control systems.
• Experience with firewall management and rule sets.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft).
• Experience with network operations.
