ITility is seeking a Cloud Engineer supporting the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) at the US Air Forces Europe / Air Forces Africa (U-A) Warfare Center (UAWC). This an OCONUS position in Kaiserslautern, Germany. AFAMS is the leading organization responsible for implementing and advancing Modeling & Simulation (M&S) standards, supporting the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partners to provide realistic warfighter training across all operational domains.

Role Overview:
* In this position, you will deliver enterprise-level system administration across multiple enclaves, leveraging VCF architecture to optimize UAWC's hybrid cloud environments and enhance live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) warfighter training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deploy, configure, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments to support mission-critical applications.
* Design, test, and optimize hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
* Implement NSX-T networking and vSphere clusters for secure, high-performance computing.
* Maintain and enhance virtualization infrastructure, leveraging VMware technologies such as vSAN, vSphere, and vRealize Suite.
* Monitor and troubleshoot cloud workloads, optimizing performance through vROps and automation tools.
* Integrate VCF with Active Directory (AD) for authentication and role-based access control (RBAC).
* Coordinate cybersecurity initiatives, deploying Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) to safeguard IT systems.
* Collaborate with external organizations, managing remedy tickets and resolving system issues.
Required Qualifications:
* US Citizen and active Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret / SCI.
* Bachelor’s and 5, or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
* Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, OR equivalent.
* DoD 8140.01 Intermediate Certification.
* Expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T, vSAN, and vSphere.
* Solid understanding of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet Protocol (IP) networks, including multicast traffic.
* Strong familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) information systems and security protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience deploying Windows Active Directory domains and Microsoft Server environments.
* Hands-on experience with server/storage hardware platforms Cisco Unified Computing System servers and hyperconverged infrastructure.
* Knowledge of SolarWinds monitoring tools for system performance optimization.
* Understanding of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA) frameworks for M&S training.
* Ability to automate tasks using Perl, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
Physical Requirements:
* Work is typically performed in an office setting.
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
