Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Dayton, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help prevent security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including during emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or potential issues.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Document all activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Assist with enforcing company policies and procedures related to access control and visitor management at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
