COLSA Corporation is looking for an experienced senior proposal analyst to support our continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is experienced in working proposals for the DoD and NASA customers resident in Huntsville, AL, as well as for Government customers in other markets. He/she also possesses deep familiarity with all aspects proposal development, including knowledge of the FAR, industry-standard proposal management and development processes, and leadership of complex proposals from draft stage through delivery. Work will be performed primarily at COLSA Corporate headquarters in Huntsville with occasional remote work possible. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Directs, plans, and coordinates all activities involved in the development and revision of proposals. *
- Manages the Proposals Department staff, sometimes through subordinate managers, in the absence of the Proposal Director.
- Reviews and approves content for inclusion in proposals. *
- Oversees graphics or graphic design, word processing, printing, and delivery of accompanying presentations. *
- Ensures that proposals are completed and submitted by deadline. *
- Coordinates proposal reviews with management and other internal stakeholders. *
- Responsible for assessing results of projects within department. *
- Supports developing and maintaining policies and procedures directly related to department. *
- Serves as liaison for the department in interactions with other departments, customers, or government agencies.
- Responsible for compliance with regulatory guidance pertaining to contracts and bid activity. *
- Assists in structuring, facilitating, and staffing for strategic planning activities in the organization.

Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in business, communications, or related field or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible proposal management experience, including oversight of the full proposal function.
- Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), industry-standard proposal management methodologies, and leadership of complex proposals from draft stage through delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise with proposal development technologies, including Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and fully compliant proposal content.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with proven success managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into compelling, compliant responses.
- Active SECRET security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with preparation and delivery of self-scoring and traditional written, multi-volume proposals.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring or developing junior proposal staff.
- Familiarity with pricing, contracts, HR and business development processes to ensure fully integrated proposal strategies.
- Formal training in Shipley or other industry-standard proposal methodologies.
