About The Role
Peraton's Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA office. The candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining systems running in the OpenShift variant of Kubernetes, troubleshooting networking and performance issues within and between systems, and serving as a privileged user to serve as the hands-on engineer in environments requiring a privileged user. This position will primarily be performed in the Herndon SCIF and should be considered an on-site position.

Details
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0+ years; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement
- Experience managing Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
- Knowledge of administering PKI secured networks
- Significant experience administering Linux or other UNIX-based systems
- Experience deploying container-based systems
- Proficient in creating and maintaining shell scripts, to include bash and Python
- NiFi experience
- Security+ or equivalent cert
- Willingness to serve as a privileged user (PUA)
- TS/SCI with current poly
- Experience administering AWS cloud systems
- Working with Jenkins
- Experience with Postgres
- Requirements management
- Maintaining systems documentation
- Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework and systems assessment and accreditation process
