NexGen Data Systems is seeking a LAN Lead Engineer to join a growing team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, which includes planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment like switches and routers. This position involves ensuring network security and compliance, developing technical specifications, and managing projects from inception to completion.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
• Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
• Coordinates with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

Desired/Required Skills:
• Active Department of Defense Secret, Critical Sensitive with a Tier 5/SSBI investigation level clearance.
• 8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience including at least two projects in technical task areas. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
• Required to take applicable DLA and Host Activity site specific safety training.
• Required to take OSHA compliant Aerial Lift Training prior to the use of Aerial Lifts.
