Job Description :
Manage construction projects to include reviewing/assigning incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.
Key responsibilities:
This position may be filled as either a Principal Facilities Construction Engineer Level 3 or a Senior Principal Facilities Construction Engineer Level 4.

Primary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Job Description :
Manage construction projects to include reviewing/assigning incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.
Key responsibilities:
- Plans, designs, and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.
- Prepares architectural and engineering cost estimates and schedules.
- Obtains and supervises outside contractors.
- Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.
- Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Supervises the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.
- Prepare and present reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any deviation from the original plan.
- Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
This position may be filled as either a Principal Facilities Construction Engineer Level 3 or a Senior Principal Facilities Construction Engineer Level 4.
Basic Qualifications for Construction Engineer 3
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years Construction management, or construction engineering experience or 3 years Construction management, or construction engineering experience with a Masters Degree
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the job function (i.e. Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, and other construction design software).
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and necessary Program Accesses
- Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license or must acquire a Utah driver's license within 30 days from the time of hire
Basic Qualifications for Construction Engineer 4
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years Construction management, or construction engineering experience or 6 years Construction management, or construction engineering experience with a Masters Degree
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the job function (i.e. Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, and other construction design software).
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and necessary Program Accesses
- Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license or must acquire a Utah driver's license within 30 days from the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
- Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.
- Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705.
- Experience in aerospace industry.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED Certification.
