Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineering college new hire in Orlando, FL.

The successful candidate must demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues. This candidate will be responsible for assisting production and development teams with new design activity, engineering changes, technical challenges, creating updated drawings and assembly parts lists, and developing new designs and tooling. The candidate will support the Mechanical Design department and provide cross functional support to the Hardware design and analysis teams.
Basic Qualifications:
* Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

* Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including mechanical design, analysis, geometric dimensioning or tolerancing (GD&T), demonstrated through strong academic performance.

* Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, Solidworks.

* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, demonstrated through hands-on experience.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated through successful group projects and collaborations.
Desired Skills:
* Relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or industry equivalent university projects.

* Has or is pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

* Experience with troubleshooting hardware and resolving fitment issues.

* Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar tools.

* Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
