Description:As a Materials Support Team Member Associate, you will support the material organization, receive parts, materials, and service requests. You will utilize multiple data systems and other data sources, including ordnance data (ODs) and drawings, perform technical research to determine validity, justification, and material availability. This role will provide material support to various customers while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will utilize multiple data systems to plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or stockroom to production and other locations in support of contractual requirements. In this role, you will coordinate with buyer, item manager, engineer, MRP controller, or production controller on material issues as required.
• Expedite return of hardware to repair point and follow up with other organizations to ensure the timely return of hardware to minimize impacts to production.
• Analyze inventory levels and evaluate items for replenishment and or disposal when appropriate.
• Provide timely response to requests for material.
• Analyze documentation, determine appropriate method of hardware movement, and process material transactions accordingly.
• Confer and develop solutions with various LM and Government sources as required in support of various logistical issues.
• Interact, and develop solutions with internal and external Lockheed Martin, supplier, and government sources with respect to product planning in support of various technical and logistics issues.
• Generate reports and develop metrics to status performance to leadership. Identify issues and concerns, and evaluate impact to operations.
• Interact with internal and external organizations such as engineering, production, and government planning, and Supply Organizations.
• Participate in process improvement activities in various functional areas.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Prior professional experience working with computer applications (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
• Must be willing to work in an ordnance processing area.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
