Join JRC's Systems Engineering & Integration Team as a Jr. Systems Engineer!

We are actively searching for a talented Jr. Systems Engineer to support the advanced weapons system research and development program systems engineering integration and testing efforts. In this role you will be providing engineering-based services to the U.S. Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile Program. This position partners closely with program management leaders and technical subject matter experts. Additionally, you will be supporting the Navy with systems engineering, and Shipyard installation testing-based services in support of its technical programs. You also will share expertise in developing strategies and plans to support the long-term growth and development of the advanced weapons system test program. What You'll Do
  • Execute shipyard-based installation testing in support of the Navy's advanced weapons systems program
  • Develop and refine test procedures to meet evolving program requirements
  • Lead system-level test execution and produce detailed test reports
  • Track, analyze, and communicate test metrics to drive performance improvements
  • Manage data and information critical to test planning and execution
  • Support configuration control of test procedures and ensure version accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during shipyard testing
  • Oversee system-level interface management to ensure integration success
  • Analyze and interact with weapon system models using SysML to validate design and functionality
  • Compile and deliver program status updates and performance metrics to senior leadership and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Navy personnel, contractors, and partners to align program objectives
  • Contribute technical content to program documentation
  • Review and validate technical materials for accuracy using Microsoft Excel, Cameo, and MagicDraw
  • Format specifications, directives, and correspondence in compliance with Navy standards

What You Bring
  • A BS in Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent years of experience
  • 1+ years of related professional experience
  • An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above or recently held a clearance and remain in favorable status
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Systems Engineering and Test knowledge
  • Be proactive about challenges or constraints within a project and seek to address or enlist assistance from senior staff to manage them accordingly
  • Propose solutions to problems that may conceptually address materials, manpower and time necessary
  • Exhibit initiative to seek out tasking with moderate degrees of complexity
  • An ability to travel up to 25%
