Professional Summary:
As a Sr Applications Programmer, you will serve as the Sustainment Lead or Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expert-level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations.
Responsibilities
Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across key operational areas including finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts
Provide expert-level knowledge and guidance on sustainment life cycle management activities to support program and project operations
Develop block diagrams, logic flowcharts, and other technical artifacts to support software design and system understanding
Translate detailed functional and technical designs into effective and efficient computer software solutions
Design, code, test, debug, and refine software applications to meet performance and functional requirements
Prepare and maintain required documentation, including program-level technical documents and user-level operational materials
Enhance existing software to reduce operating time, optimize performance, and improve overall efficiency
Provide technical direction and mentorship to programmers and development teams to ensure quality standards and project deadlines are met
Devise or modify procedures to address complex problems, considering hardware capacity, software limitations, processing time, and desired outcomes
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
• Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
• Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No Code Development Platform models.
• Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
• Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
• Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
• Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
• Must possess a Secret clearance or Tier 3 (T3).
