Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Retail Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unusual activity and report observations as required.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or assisting visitors and employees as needed.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when situations arise that require additional response.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to tenants, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a current armed guard card or license.
• Possess a current Level III armed certification if required by Texas law.
• Possess a current guard card or license.
• Have customer service experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
