Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
BAE Systems is looking for a Software Configuration Analyst Principle to join our team .
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of no less than 8 Software Configuration Managers (SCM) in the execution of their day-to-day activities, ensuring all Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, ensure the team is meeting all Test Station Software Installation/deployment requirements, allowing programs to meet their critical schedule.
Essential Functions are: Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth above. Responsible for the work of others, leading, mentoring and creating a one-team environment. Communicate effectively and proactively both orally and in writing. Launch new programs, establishing processes and procedures. Drive conflicts and questions to resolution with minimal support. Exhibit sound professional interpersonal skills interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with others. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelors degree
- 1+ yrs experience leading a team of 6 or more
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Active Security clearance minimum
- SME with CM tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, PLM and AutoCM
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Two or more years related experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Possess a strong understanding of the CM tools ( Git, BitBucket, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, PLM and AutoCM), processes and procedures. Mentor Jr SCMs and Engineers on how to use the tools, creating, distributing and when necessary, conduct training to advance the understanding of others.
- Performs all necessary functions to support both internal and customer audit and verifications.
- Establishes and manages tool specific software libraries. Performs and documents all required software builds to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines. Executes release and change control functions using the designated SCM system/tool in order to ensure software product integrity and meet program schedules.
- Generates and maintains all necessary program software development, release, and change records, including "as built" and status accounting records. Performs SCM Configuration Control Board activities which include, but are not limited to, establishing the agenda, recording approvals/non-approvals, and publishing and maintaining action items lists.
- Advance the contributions of the SCM team related to Test Stations, balancing the abilities of the team with the needs of the business. Investigating and launching process improvements.
