Duties
This position is located in the Intelligence Directorate of an ANG Air Operations Group. Its purpose is to ensure that the overall Intelligence personnel training program for AOG augmentation of the Gaining Command's Aerospace Operations Center (AOC) meets the requirements set forth inapplicable policy and instructional regulations and agreements. As a recognized expert among the intelligence operations specialists of the group, the incumbent exercises technical oversight over the training program and represents the Intelligence Director in conferences and coordination activities as required. The incumbent exercises in-depth knowledge of the operational needs of the Gaining Command AOC in maintaining close coordination with the Gaining Command and ensuring that required intelligence training for all Group personnel meets the needs and requirements of the Gaining Command.
This position requires military membership. It is designated for National Guardofficer incumbency only. The incumbent provides subordinate guidance and teamleadership to NDS and DS employees. Incumbent plans, organizes, manages,and performs duties necessary to accomplish intelligence operations functions insupport of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations,training, and readiness missions. Fosters an environment conducive to teamingamong service providers and customers to meet state Air/Army National Guardrequirements.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): 1 Only
Area 1: Current Permanent On-Board dual status technicians employed with the SC Air National Guard. (Does not include temporary and indefinite technicians).
Area 2: Current military members of the SC Air National Guard.
Area 3: Current nationwide Air National Guard military members, AF Reserve military members, and RegAF. (Must be willing to transfer to the SC Air National Guard), US citizens eligible for immediate membership in the SC Air National Guard.
* Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and are not eligible for Area 1.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training performing functions involving various intelligence systems and organizations. Experience reviewing and analyzing data including technical reports, surveys, and studies. Experience preparing and conducting training plans and programs, both formal and on-the-job.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.

- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is a Title 32 Technician Vacancy that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the closing date of the job vacancy.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
