Junior Software Engineer

Summary: ClearanceJobs, on behalf of one of our customers, is currently seeking a full-time Software Engineer to work on-site in Fort Meade, MD. This position requires active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).

Required Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's / Computer Engineering or Computer Science (4 years of applicable experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)
• Experience collaborating with a team of Software and Systems engineers in an Agile environment to analyze requirements, derive user stories, track issues, and create user documentation
• Experience developing Java applications for network connected databases
• Experience test and debugging software code for network connected databases
• Experience with Jira ticketing system for software development status/tasking

Required Skills:
• Linux / Unix command-line
• Agile developer

• Java, Javascript, and/or HTML
• Active MQ
• NoSQL, elastic databases, or similar

• Confluence, SharePoint, or similar

Desired:
• Experience with containers (i.e., Docker and/or Kubernetes)
