Summary: ClearanceJobs, on behalf of one of our customers, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Network Engineer to work on-site in Fort Meade, MD. This position requires active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
Responsibilities:
• Keep LANs running smoothly with hands-on administration and troubleshooting
• Capture and analyze network performance data to drive improvements
• Configure and integrate front-end and back-end systems for seamless communication
• Collaborate on mission-driven network designs and architecture
Required Experience/Education:
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and 12 years of experience in the below. (17 years of experience in the below without a degree)
o Architecting and deploying secure, high-performance network solutions
o Monitoring and optimizing dataflows to reduce latency and boost throughput
o Translating performance metrics into actionable system requirements
Required Skills:
• Linux / Unix command-line
• Windows
• Scripting (Bash, Shell and/or Python)
• Performance monitoring tools and data analysis
• Secure network design, configuration, and maintenance
• Jira
• Confluence
Required Certifications:
• IAT Level I (defined by DoD 8570.01-M)
