Greystones Group has an opportunity for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support a Navy customer in the Washington D.C. area. This project is in support of process improvements to IT support tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems engineering, cybersecurity principles, and Agile/DevSecOps practices. This position will be located in the Washington D.C. area; however, if the candidate’s unique skills and experience would result in considerable value added to the customer, the position can be performed at remote locations and/or telework.

Responsibilities:
• Design, integrate, and maintain complex software, hardware, and web application solutions using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Lead or support the development of System Security Engineering Plans (SEPs) and other technical documentation in compliance with DoD standards.
• Support and execute System Engineering tasks in accordance with DoD lifecycle guidelines and cybersecurity risk management processes.
• Develop and manage schedules, ensuring timely system deployment and coordination across stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, program management, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure system integration.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/DoN policies and security controls to actively contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in systems design, integration and deployment for DoD/DoN projects and programs.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end system design and lifecycle support (requirements, architecture, deployment, and sustainment).
• Experience with Red Hat/Linux, Windows server, and virtualized environments.
• 5+ years of experience working withing cybersecurity frameworks, performing security assessments, implementing technical controls, and supporting ATO packages.
• Experience working within cloud and DevSecOps environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a Agile framework.
• Experience in personnel management, including leadership of IT or software engineering teams.
• Active cybersecurity certification such as Security+. CISSP, or CEH.
• Active Secret clearance required.
