Job Summary:

The Integration & Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting test efforts for complex radar mission systems from program inception through verification, validation, and deployment. This role involves integrating hardware and software components, developing detailed test strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams and subcontractors, and serving as a point of contact with the government customer for test planning. The engineer will contribute to mission success by ensuring system performance, functionality, reliability, and compliance with requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy, Planning & Execution
  • Define and implement test strategies to verify mission capabilities.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
  • Conduct system integration, regression, functional, and performance testing.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of software and hardware components.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and support root cause analysis.
  • Track and document defects through resolution.

Integration & Collaboration
  • Support full system integration from development through deployment.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams to define requirements and resolve integration challenges.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and risk.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and government representatives.
  • Provide technical support during customer demonstrations, field testing, and operational deployment.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including plans, procedures, reports, and compliance artifacts.
  • Ensure all testing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and implement process improvements.
  • Support delivery of contractual data items including:
    • System Test Report
    • Detailed Test Plan
    • Test Procedures
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in system integration and testing.
  • Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret.
  • Minimum Skills Required:
    • Security+ certification.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
    • Experience with test methodologies, test equipment, data acquisition, and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with Boundary Scan, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or other instrument control tools.
    • Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
    • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence, or similar.
    • Experience with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps environments.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with radar systems.
    • Background in test automation and continuous integration practices.
    • Knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity principles in test environments.

Work environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a lab, manufacturing, or field testing environment with occasional exposure to industrial settings.
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds and working with test equipment.
  • Travel may be required for on-site testing, field support, or customer demonstrations.



Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
