This position may be filled as an Engineer (level 2) or Principal Engineer (level 3) depending on how the candidate meets experience and qualification requirements.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,000.00 - $111,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman has an immediate opening for a Systems Test Engineer on an exciting program based in Dulles, Virginia. As a Systems Test Engineer, you will:
- Analyze technical and contractual requirements to synthesize test cases for new features, enhancements, and fixes for an integrated LINUX-based hardware/software platform.
- Create detailed test plans and procedures needed to sell off requirements and demonstrate fully compliant system functionality.
- Create Bash and Python scripts for automated test activities.
- Participate in local field installation, integration, and test activities at a customer location.
This position may be filled as an Engineer (level 2) or Principal Engineer (level 3) depending on how the candidate meets experience and qualification requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 2 years (level 2) or 5 years (level 3) of relevant experience
- U.S. citizen
- Active or current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI at time of application
- LINUX proficiency (command-line, SSH, ability to view/edit files, understanding of LINUX file permissions) is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant STEM discipline
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Current Security + certification is preferred
- Prior experience doing equipment installations in a customer environment is preferred
- Experience creating Python scripts is preferred
- Experience using a spectrum analyzer is preferred
