Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Quality Engineer Asc. In this role, you will analyze business & technical requirements to create process designs, support & perform software development testing, and execute root cause analysis & corrective action activities in support of digital transformation projects. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of continuous improvement; aerospace, heavy equipment, and/or automotive manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly methods & technologies; and general product or process engineering requirements interpretation. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Data Science
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as metallic machining, composite layup, and/or aerospace/heavy equipment/automotive assembly
• Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Ability to travel
• Ability to work on-site a minimum of 2 days per week
Desired Skills:
• Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing
• Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
• Familiar with computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), manufacturing planning, and/or metrology software
• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
