Duties

As aGROUP SUPERINTENDENT ,GS -0301-11, you will:
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Advises the group commander on assigned program areas of responsibility.
  • Advises, carries out, and monitors the Group Commander's organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the enlisted force.
  • Develops, participates, and provides guidance in planning, publicizing, and administering ANG enlisted awards, recognition and promotion programs.
  • Serves as the commanders representative at staff meetings and councils and when conducting tours through group areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Security Clearance
Must have Security Clearance prior to start date of appointment (attach proof of clearance type)

Areas of Consideration: CAT I
AOC 1, All permanent, Indefinite on-board, Title 32 Employees within the New Jersey Air National Guard

Military Grade: MIN - CMSgt E/9 to MAX - CMSgt/ E-9.

Must attend the ANG CMSgt Orientations Course within a year.
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade

Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments

Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.

*Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1)

Qualifications

General Experience:
Do you have the following General Experiences?
  • Applying principles of organization, management, and administration
  • Using computer and automation systems
Specialized Experiences
Do you have 36 months of the following Specialized Experiences?
  • Program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.
  • Developing and recommending policy
  • Organizing and carrying out specific programs
  • Evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations
  • Supervisory, staff or technical work, applying practices and procedures
  • Study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies
  • Preparing written communications and oral presentations
Education

Must have an associate degree from a nationally accredited academic institution.
