As a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-12, you will:

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Provides detailed research and analysis on physical, information, computer, and personnel security. Administers the Information Protection Program to include protection from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to wing and command mission interests, national defense or national security. The work
requires comprehensive working knowledge of security enterprise operations, procedures, and practices. The Chief of Information Protection position performs operational duties at the Wing Headquarters, Vice Wing Commander's staff.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Expert in administering server-based networked systems, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and application monitoring required to provision, sustain, operate and integrate cyber networked systems and applications in garrison and at deployed locations. Core competencies include: expertise in server operating systems, expertise in database administration, expertise in web technologies, expertise in systems-related project management and supervising cyber systems. Have expanded experiences and expertise, along with the working knowledge on how to perform Special Security Representative duties and responsibilities in a Special Security Office.

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.

As a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-12, you will:
- Serve as the Wing Information Protection Program Manager executing/enforcing all operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program.
- Formulate wing program goals, plans, policy implementation guidelines, procedures, and work plans dealing with the development and operation of wing-wide information security programs and activities and provides technical and administrative direction to subordinate wing information security personnel.
- Deliver, Security Awareness and Education Programs to satisfy security education and training requirements for all assigned organizations.
- Revise or augment training to support unique requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
