SecDev Engineer
Onsite Annapolis Junction, MD | US Citizenship Required | Travel (less than 10%)
Clearance level: Active TS/SCI with Poly
Summary
Our client is a leading provider of technology and mission services to the U.S. government and commercial clients. They deliver innovative solutions in cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital modernization, and mission support.
Responsibilities
As a SecDev Engineer on our team, you will be:
-Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks
-Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies.
-Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements for security policy implementation.
-Monitor SecDev tools for performance and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
-Participate in security incident response activities, including the investigation, documentation, and remediation of security incidents, for incident response.
-Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for network security assessments.
-Manage F5s, firewalls, email security appliances and web proxy firmware upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure for upgrades and patching.
-Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions for collaboration.
-Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams for documentation.
-Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to boundary devices to ensure they are up to date with the latest security features and firmware.
Requirements
Technical skills:
-Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.
-Experience with network security concepts and technologies
Education/Certification Requirements
-Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
-2+ years of related experience
-IAT Level II certified
-Ability to work on call rotation as needed

-Active TS/SCI w/Poly
