Job Description
As a Security Professional - Chemical Facility Patrol in Westlake, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location. By conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming, customer-focused environment. Your role will involve strong communication and a commitment to our core values of agility, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical or petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and document all security-related activities as required by site protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established procedures for the location.
- Work in a variety of environments and conditions specific to chemical and petrochemical operations, adapting to site requirements as needed.
- Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as needed regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
