As a Security Professional - Telecom Screener Patrol in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.
As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for all. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help control entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Document and report any unusual activities, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the tech, media, and telecom environment.

- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Previous loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
