Job Description

As a Security Professional - Media Access Patrols in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry to a dynamic tech and media location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. By maintaining a visible presence and utilizing technology, you will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the facility.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location, following established procedures.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and employees as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate, following site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
