Engineering Project Manager

The Engineering Project Manager supports Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects as part of our company's on-site engineering team to assist across a wide variety of Engineering-related projects (Military Family Housing included), providing Planning, Programming, Engineering, Production Control, Inspection, and Project Management support. The position will support review of design work for repair, construction, renovation, and improvement projects.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Engineering Project Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

Engineering Project Manager Responsibilities Include:
  • Work closely with the contracting office and the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to provide technical advice and help manage a 30-month FSRM A&E contract.
  • In concert with the COR, develop a plan for overseeing the AE-Next contractor and managing deliverables.
  • Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, coordinating AE-Next contractor travel, and review of deliverables.
  • Ensure on-target program assessments, continued planning, and deliverable execution by the FSRM A&E contractor, realistic expectations toward program goals, and timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Work closely with the COR and the FSRM contractor to receive and manage deliverables, review invoices, manage files, proactively reply to issues and emails as requested by the COR, and provide recommendations to the government to optimize process and performance outcomes.
  • Facilitates FSRM project meetings with other contractors and internal government clients; present recommendations to leadership.
  • Manages assigned projects; review/validate specifications, design, and technical documents; schedule and track projects using multiple existing or self-created tools; solve engineering and construction issues; coordinate with others on preferences in design and materials; identify, document, and incorporate lessons learned.
  • Assists with contract formation and ensure projects meet all local and Air Force housing and construction requirements; oversee the status of each phase of the project lifecycle and provide written reports to multiple clients.
  • Facilitates project meetings with other contractors and internal government clients; present recommendations to leadership.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.


Engineering Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or architecture from an accredited school. Not preferred, but specific engineering and DoW experience can supplement for a BS degree.
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years, focusing on engineering project management.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture is a plus
  • Preferably includes familiarity with Asset Management principles and FSRM Program Business Rules.
  • AFIMSC and/or AFCEC experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Air Force Base level and Major Command level experience is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Air Force NACI/SF85 for unescorted access to controlled areas.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and data management skills required. Experience with facility-related data systems (e.g., TRIRIGA/NexGen, GEOBASE, Builder, etc.).
  • Demonstrated professional-level ability to work with engineers, contracting, contractors, and end-users to collect data, present findings, and recommend alternative courses of action.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
