IT Manager

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The IT Manager will provide full-time, on-site leadership at each Center, supervising IT staff and ensuring efficient management of local systems and IT operations. This role coordinates with Operations and Government teams to optimize IT performance, support system transitions, and maintain daily data integrity and reporting.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Manager : Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

IT Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise systems administrators and IT support staff, including providing guidance and mentoring.


  • Consult on hiring IT personnel, developing process improvements, and implementing system transitions.


  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to communicate IT needs, persistent issues, and change requests to the Government.


  • Oversee local IT systems administration, including daily backups, system maintenance, and ad-hoc reporting capabilities.


  • Manage activities related to electronic receipt of petition data and ensure accurate and timely IT operations.


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Government and contract staff on IT inquiries and general software/hardware support.


  • Support the Government in ongoing transitions to new enterprise visa processing systems.


  • Ensure operational efficiency, system security, and adherence to established IT policies and procedures.


  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


IT Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.


  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing IT operations and staff, preferably in a government or contractor environment.


  • Strong knowledge of systems administration, IT support, and data management.


  • Experience with process improvement, system transitions, and IT project coordination.


  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and IT management tools.


  • Ability to liaise effectively with Government and contractor personnel.


  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
