Markon's partner company is looking for an Exploitation Analyst for our Fort Meade Customer.
Responsibilities
- Assess data to identify new or continuing exploitation and collection opportunities.
- Conduct target analysis and collection to discover targets of interest and expand network access.
- Identify and describe target vulnerabilities and recommend techniques/methods for technical exploitation.
- Plan and execute remote exploitation and access development, providing technical assistance to resolve issues or refine approaches.
- Leverage all authorized resources and analytic techniques to penetrate targeted networks while complying with legal and policy constraints.
- Analyze intelligence information, technical data, and exploitation opportunities; synthesize findings into concise, fused targeting/intelligence products.
- Create comprehensive strategies for maintaining access and sustaining collections (including persistence and exfiltration considerations).
- Use collection searching and analysis tools and techniques for chat/buddy lists, VOIP, Media over IP, VPN, VSAT/wireless, web mail, cookies, and related sources.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently through written reports, oral briefings, and visualizations for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of evolving attack methods, network topologies, and relevant technologies to improve exploitation efficacy.
Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Active Polygraph
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree + 8 years OR Master's degree + 6 years OR Doctoral degree + 4 years OR Associate's degree + 10 years relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Familiarity with cyber‑attack lifecycle/stages and common attack methods/techniques (e.g., DDoS, brute force, spoofing, social engineering vectors).
- Understanding of operating systems, data communications terminology, and typical network topologies.
- Knowledge of collection development processes and proven collection/searching/analyzing techniques for common digital sources (chat, VOIP, web mail, cookies, VPNs, wireless, etc.).
- Proven ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of technical data into actionable intelligence or targeting products.
- Hands‑on experience with exploitation, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, or related activities.
- Demonstrated experience in network or system administration (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical information in organized, audience‑appropriate formats.
- Certifications: OSCP, OSCE, CEH, CISSP, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA, or equivalent.
- Experience with advanced exploitation frameworks, custom tooling, or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with packet analysis tools (Wireshark/tcpdump), traffic analysis, and protocol reverse‑engineering.
- Experience producing finished intelligence reports and briefings for leadership/mission customers.
- Prior experience in high‑tempo cyber operations, threat hunting, or red-team engagements.
