Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking an experienced Front-End Application Developer to join a dynamic Agile development team supporting a federal cybersecurity program in Chantilly, VA. This position operates within a Flexible Agile Development Cycle delivering secure, scalable enterprise applications through collaborative design, development, integration, and sustainment efforts.
The Front-End Application Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, responsive, and secure user interfaces that seamlessly integrate with complex back-end systems to support mission-critical operations across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain front-end components, frameworks, and user interfaces for enterprise web applications.
• Evaluate architecture and implementation options to recommend strategic enterprise UI/UX solutions aligned with Sponsor standards.
• Translate user and system requirements into interactive, accessible, and performant web interfaces.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and system architects to integrate APIs, services, and data sources.
• Collaborate closely with back-end developers to define API contracts and optimize data exchange for mission applications.
• Ensure all developed applications comply with performance, accessibility, and cybersecurity requirements, including A&A and RMF processes.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, code reviews, and create documentation for developed features.
• Maintain and modernize legacy user interfaces, migrating components to Sponsor-approved frameworks and cloud environments.
• Support data visualization, form validation, and responsive design for desktop and mobile views.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX designer and mission stakeholders to improve the intuitiveness and usability of application workflows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning, ensuring timely and secure delivery of software releases.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience developing secure, high-performance front-end web applications within complex enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in:
o JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular (latest versions), HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful API integration.
• Experience using Angular Material, RxJS, and State Management frameworks (e.g., NgRx).
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot or other back-end service architectures to support front-end integration.
• Experience consuming and visualizing data from MongoDB or graph databases (such as ArangoDB).
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience using JIRA, Git, and Agile methodologies for collaborative development.
• Understanding of Sponsor security requirements, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and system authorization practices.

Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Skills
• Experience developing data-driven dashboards and visualizations using D3.js, Plotly, or similar libraries.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-hosted web application deployments (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with graph database integration and API-driven visualization frameworks.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility with an emphasis on clarity, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience modernizing legacy front-end systems and migrating to Angular or React frameworks.
