Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Process Engineering Manager 2 with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative Software Technologies Organization to help develop, enhance and maintain software on cutting edge products and systems. Candidates will lead a functional team of approximately 10 multidisciplined processes and materials engineers.
We are looking for you to join our team as a Process Engineering Manager 2 based out of Linthicum, MD.
Summary of Role:
As a Process Engineering Manager within the Material Analysis Organization, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. This team is responsible for the development and design, optimizations, and implementation of efficient processes to support engineering, operations, and manufacturing. Examples of processes include but are not limited to aluminum brazing, welding, additive manufacturing, conversion coating, plating, soldering, composites, bonding, and coatings. This team interfaces with multiple departments, including but not limited to engineering, manufacturing, and program/cell/supplier quality to meet organizational goals by fostering an environment where continuous improvement methodologies are documented and implemented to enhance productivity and reusability, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. The individual will be responsible for developing a team to participate in the design and review of new designs and identify opportunities for new material development. The individual will also be responsible for participation in the performance review process, management of personnel records and participation in corrective or disciplinary actions. Team engagement is a key focus of this role as is the ability to mentor, provide career guidance and coaching, and to lead others. Basic Qualifications for a Process Engineering Manager:
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Lead the team to design and implement processes that meet current demands
- Evaluating and researching processes for future trends and challenges by employing a range of analytical tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues, implement controls, and ensure compliance with industry and internal standards
- Be familiar with industrial and internal requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with materials and processes engineering to develop test plans for material property development. Use statistical methods to evaluate test data and determine design allowables.
- Combine technical expertise with strategic foresight, to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Works collaboratively with various disciplines to identify opportunities for material development and engagement to support increased quality throughout the business.
