Position Responsibilities:
- Process incoming toxicology specimens (primarily biological specimens including blood, urine, and tissues)
- Prepare biological samples for toxicological analyses
- Perform data entry for toxicology batches and cases
- Generate toxicology reports for review and signature
- Mail out toxicology report to appropriate recipients
- Maintain and organize toxicology case files
- Scan batch and case paperwork for electronic storage
- Assist chemists and toxicologists in daily operations and research projects
- Participate in the Laboratory's accreditation process
- Prepare toxicology paperwork for FOIAs
Position Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher with coursework in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- 3 years related experience with an Associate's degree; no experience required with a B.S. degree
- Experience supporting the FAA and the FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) preferred, but not required
