BOAB Ventures is looking for a Junior Technician to join our team supporting advanced maritime technology for the national security industry.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to design, build, and test unmanned maritime sensor systems — technology that helps protect our nation. No prior technical experience is required — just a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do
Work with engineers and senior technicians to assemble, test, and repair maritime sensor systems.
Build and repair parts using tools for soldering, drilling, cutting, crimping, and similar hands-on tasks.
Assist with preparing, deploying, and recovering equipment during at-sea testing.
Perform routine maintenance on tools, machinery, and equipment.
Help track and manage inventory and parts.
Support a variety of hands-on technical and mechanical projects as assigned.

Attention to detail and safety — quality and safety always come first.
Hands-on experience from school, hobbies, or personal projects (e.g., working on cars, robotics, or home repairs).
Team player with good communication skills and a willingness to take direction.
Physically able to assist with fieldwork, including lifting, carrying, and working aboard small boats.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, Not Required)
Familiarity with tools, basic mechanics, or electrical systems.
Experience working on or around boats or watercraft.
Basic computer or Linux skills.
Veteran status or experience working with military or defense teams.
Additional Information
You may be asked to obtain a SECRET security clearance (provided at no cost). This process requires meeting U.S. Government background standards, including no recreational drug use (including marijuana).
