Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Screener in a dynamic tech environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors regarding access procedures and site policies.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control systems and/or badge management is preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
