Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to join a Federal Program working in Washington, DC . The Software Engineer will be part of a team that designs, builds, and delivers scalable, high-performance AI-powered systems that enable federal agencies to unlock the full potential of their data in secure environments.
Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:
· Design and implement scalable backend systems tailored to Federal customer needs, leveraging the modern cloud-native AI infrastructure.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define backend architecture and ensure solutions meet mission-critical requirements.
· Develop distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and machine learning infrastructure to support impactful government use cases.
· Build robust backend platforms that can operate independently, enabling agencies to accelerate their AI initiatives.
· Engage directly with government stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver innovative, secure solutions.
· Contribute to the Federal product roadmap and strategy, helping shape the future of the company's government offerings.
Qualifications for the Software Engineer include:
· Experience in both front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks, languages, and databases.
· Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
· Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data modeling, warehousing, and governance principles.
· Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and deploying scalable ML systems.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
· Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
· Must have an Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Compensation for the Software Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $160,000 - $240,000 depending on experience
