Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Microsoft Azure Enclave Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will manage and maintain secure cloud enclaves within the Microsoft Azure environment, supporting mission-critical systems and ensuring operational excellence. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in cloud administration, specifically within Azure, and a passion for working in secure and innovative environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and administer Azure-based virtual environments and secure enclaves.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management for enclave operations.
- Monitor enclave performance, security posture, and ensure high availability and compliance with DoD standards.
- Implement and maintain Azure services, including Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Security Center, and Azure Monitor.
- Support the integration of enclave environments with on-premises infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and network issues.
- Apply security patches, system updates, and vulnerability remediation within the enclave environment.
- Maintain detailed system documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
- Assist with incident response and problem resolution for enclave environments.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards, including STIG implementation and DoD security requirements.
- Provide technical support during enclave design, migration, and system enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5-8 years of experience in cloud administration, with a focus on Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, security policies, and cloud storage.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), and security best practices.
- Familiarity with enclave architectures, hybrid cloud setups, and secure cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, PowerShell scripting, and automation tools.
- Experience with security frameworks such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and DoD compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- Experience supporting DoD or government enclave environments.
- Familiarity with Azure GovCloud and cloud-based security solutions.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and network administration concepts.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional experience as a Microsoft Azure Enclave Admin.
- Must be within driving distance of Lorton, VA, or willing to relocate (Relocation Assistance Package Available).
- Must be willing to work onsite.
- Must have an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.).
