Duties
Help
  • You will provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the command and its personnel, which include both DoD government civilians and military.
  • You will assist as a Mail Clerk for the command and provide information to all command personnel on the rules, regulations, directives, and policies governing the Mail Management Program.
  • You will maintain subject matter files/correspondence and records that relate to the Administration Office and other command departments.
  • You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.
  • You will perform as the primary typist of the Administrative Office staff for all documents which include letters, instructions, notices and miscellaneous memorandums.
  • You will submit various pay, personnel and transportation transactions via TOPS in support of military personnel assigned to Pacific Missile Range Facility.
  • You will ensure all files and directives are filed properly for easy access and in a timely manner.
  • You will assist the Command Travel Administrator in providing travel guidance and processing all command travel.
  • You will be responsible for issuing military identification cards and Common Access Cards, ensuring that all cards issued are within the directives and guidelines.

Qualifications

GS-5:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-4) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in an office setting, processing incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining files or arranging travel and issuing identification cards. .

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school

OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
