Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with industry partners in developing and executing a comprehensive assessment program supporting the C2BMC Element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System.
- Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance.
- Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Develop and maintain analysis tools, including modeling and simulation tools, to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future missile defense systems.
- Develop, maintain, and identify improvements for planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Define, schedule, assign, and execute tasks, monitoring completion to lead the integration and checkout activities.
- Support subject matter experts for integration and test domains, system engineering system performance/domains, system-specific issues, processes, tools, and regulations.
- Support efforts to solve complex missile defense problems.
- Utilize MBSE tools such as CAMEO or DOORS, System Architect, and mathematical modeling and simulation to provide thought leadership and lead trade studies in assigned areas.
- Drive the system engineering integration and test or system analysis approach.
- Develop, select, tailor, and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
- Execute and document integration and test activities and events.
- Develop and define efficiencies and improvements to tools to improve team productivity.
- Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts and solutions.
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Candidates must have an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Understanding of DoD and missile defense command and control, battle management, architectures, and communications system concepts.
- Experience with verification of requirements.
- Understanding of System Engineering and iterative product development using Agile practices.
- Experience in developing capability assessments, assessment objectives, and related assessment plans and procedures.
- Experience in scripting and automated test development is a plus.
- Experience using MATLAB, Python, JAVA, or similar language environment to develop analytical tools or perform numerical modeling of complex systems.
- Demonstrated experience performing systems analysis or performance analysis, including system concept trade studies, operational analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, system performance measures of effectiveness analysis, discrimination methods and techniques definition, probability analysis, or vehicle analysis.
- Experience modeling or simulating missile defense elements or systems in similar domains.
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Minimum of 2 years in system engineering (e.g., Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements, or Test).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance or an active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.
- Experience with Agile Development processes is a plus.
