Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

About The Role
Peraton's Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems.
As a Systems Engineer/Systems Administrator you will do among the following:
- Onboard new microservices, ensuring smooth deployment and troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor systems daily and ensure timely monthly OS patching, software updates, AV/AM updates for all assigned systems
- Troubleshoot Windows Server and 10/11 client, and application performance issues, recommending effective solutions.
- Rapidly address and resolve customer issues through a ticketing tracking system.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement
- Active Security+ or equivalent (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Lvl 2)
- Experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher
- Windows 10 and 11 installation, management, troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Experience with User Management in an Active Directory Environment
- Experience installing and configuring software applications
- Experience maintaining system documentation including reading and creating network architecture diagrams
- Experience with Virtualization systems (VMWare, Nutanix)
- TS/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI and pass CI poly
- Familiar with managing anti-virus and anti-malware software agents
- Familiar with scripting languages e.g., Powershell, Ansible, BASH
- Familiar with Linux RHEL Variant operating systems
- Familiar with Vulnerability Assessment tools and remediation
- Familiar with network protocols
- TS/SCI w/ poly
