Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 8+ years of senior-level network engineering experience designing and implementing secure, scalable DoD networks.
At start date, must possess one or more of the following certifications in ACTIVE status:
CCNP (Routing and Switching) or CCDP (Design)
SecurityX - Formerly CASP+CE
GSLC – GIAC Security Leadership certification
Proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable DoD enterprise networks (classified and unclassified).
Advanced technical expertise in VMware, VOIP phones, Microsoft Teams, and Windows Server systems.
Expertise with network architecture, firewall policy, routing protocols, QoS, Cloud-enablement strategies, and cross-domain solutions.
Experience performing Tier 3 O&M support, configuration, and engineering for large-scale military networks.
Deep knowledge of DoD architecture frameworks, RMF, and PACAF-specific mission demands.
Ability to provide:
System Design Plan (SDP) to include details for all required actions to complete the project drawings of existing floor plans, proposed floor plans, rack elevations, and shelf configurations.
Details of all cable runs (e.g., fiber, copper, power, grounding) in Spreadsheet form.
Site preparation actions (e.g., facilities, power, grounding, and bounding).
Systems Integration Test (SIT) and Systems Acceptance Test (SAT) plans, including the test results, and Implementation schedule.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), outstanding customer service, team building, and consensus-building abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused, organized, and plan work independently or collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment.

Support implementation and sustainment of routing and switching, network segmentation, firewalls, and QoS configurations.
Conduct change management planning, including development of technical implementation procedures and risk assessments.
Execute network upgrades and integration of hardware/software solutions in support of modernization efforts.
Perform diagnostics for complex hardware, firmware, and configuration issues impacting network services.
Ensure RMF-aligned security integration across all changes.
Coordinate with PACAF/A6 and other stakeholders for technical implementation and validation.
Survey and assess the condition of the site(s)’ facilities for potential upgrades that may impact equipment installation related to the network and/or growth projects.
