Software Acquisition Program Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Acquisition Program Manager to support the Space Systems Command MilComm & PNT Directorate, providing strategic guidance on acquisition, cloud migration, and program execution for national security space initiatives in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities of the Software Acquisition Program Manager include:

• Advise senior leadership on acquisition, contracting, and budgeting strategies to support program success.
• Lead the transition from a hybrid cloud/on-premise setup to a multi-hybrid cloud architecture.
• Prepare and coordinate acquisition planning materials, including analyses and strategy documents.
• Support source selection by drafting technical evaluations and offering expert guidance.
• Conduct risk and business case analyses to provide actionable insights to the program manager.

Qualifications for the Software Acquisition Program Manager include:

• 15+ years of experience managing cost, schedule, and performance across complex programs.
• Extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, including risk and opportunity management for major capability systems.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies in commercial software development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Active T5 or SSBI clearance with SCI eligibility and enrollment in Continuous Evaluation; willing to undergo polygraph for SAP access.
• Proficient in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with working knowledge of Kubernetes, Active Directory, and development tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Compensation for the Software Acquisition Program Manager include:

• Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
