Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer include:
- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads.
- Administer and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
- Ensure systems meet DoD security and compliance standards.
- Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, uptime, and security across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Support incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations and change management duties.
Qualifications for the Cloud Engineer include:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (required).
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Associate's degree with 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
- Expert-level experience with Azure, Kubernetes, RHEL, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with DoD compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, RMF) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite at Ft. Meade, MD three days per week.
Compensation for the Cloud Engineer includes:
- Salary range: $165,000 - $195,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
