Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer to join a large federal program out of the Herndon, VA area. The Java Developer will have hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance applications using Java and related technologies. ***Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance***
Responsibilities of the Java Developer:
· Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
· Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software
· Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting production issues
· Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and systems
· Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services
Qualifications of the Java Developer:
· 5+ years of professional experience in Java Development
· Prior experience supporting large-scale federal programs
· Experience with front-end and back-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular)
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud)
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, etc)
· Java framework experience such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate
· Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
· Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
· Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
· Bachelor's degree in related field
Compensation of the Java Developer:
· Salary: Between $130,000 - $180,000 based on years of relevant experience
