Job Summary
- Seeking a Lead Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer to provide expert-level leadership and technical guidance in the planning, design, development, and modification of voice, video, and data communications network systems and subsystems
- This role requires advanced knowledge of landline, cellular, voice, video, data networks, and wireless communications, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions across complex enterprise environments
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and perform complex network engineering tasks across voice, data, video, and wireless systems
- Conduct systems studies, including planning, design, development, and modifications of existing and planned communication networks and subsystems
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, schematics, and designs using Visio and AutoCAD.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
- Develop infrastructure solutions that meet client requirements while considering scalability, security, and interoperability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate network performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement design modifications
- Support integration and implementation planning, including testing, verification, and documentation of network systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines throughout design, deployment, and operational phases
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum active Secret Clearance
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional work and leadership experience in network design, including landlines, cellular, voice, video, data networks, and wireless communications
- Experience performing complex network engineering tasks and systems studies
- Proficiency in Visio and AutoCAD for network design and documentation
- In-depth knowledge of planning, design, development, and modifications of communication networks and subsystems
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required
- Personnel without this certification must obtain it within 75 days of hire
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise-scale network modernization and infrastructure optimization
- Familiarity with cloud-enabled network solutions and convergence of traditional and IP-based networks
