Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Aurora, CO.
Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly

Job Description:
The position requires secure software cybersecurity expertise, as well as guiding the secure implementation of systems to meet customer Information Assurance requirements. The successful candidate is expected to have proven experience with assisting in the implementation of secure coding standards, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Application Security and Development Security Technical Implementation Guide (ASD STIG), and experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and artifact development leading to a successful Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM) and minimum of 5 + years of relevant engineering experience.
- Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01 IAT-II/IAM-II. (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP) required at start.
- Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Vulnerability and compliance scanning and mitigation.
- STIG manual hardening checks.
- Assessment and Authorization Support (A&A).
- Cyber security engineering in support of system development.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with cyber security engineering projects and government programs.
- Experience working with customers, all levels of management and with individual contributors on the team to include the ability to work across disciplines to find balanced approaches to technical issues.
- Strong understanding of cyber architecture design principles and governance and the ability to create an architectural vision, communicate the vision, and map out a plan to execute towards the vision.
- Ability to assist with establishing tasks and objectives and ensure the entire team understands and can work towards the vision and objectives.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and DISA STIGs.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to decompose, document, and communicate architecture rationale, approach, design and governance to include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, HW and SW life-cycle management, and engineering change proposal processes.
- Hands-on technical experience as an individual contributor with documented skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: Linux system administration, COTS and FOSS patch management/deployment experience.
