A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:
Principles and methods for integrating information systems components; Performance tuning tools and techniques; System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques; Systems administration methods; Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services; Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components; Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers; Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests; and IT security principles.
OR
Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems management, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies:
1. Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.
2. Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
3. Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise.
4. Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Help
- Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services.
- Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization, including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Provides analysis and implements suitable measures for hardware/software requirements and problem resolution. Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures, ensuring optimal functionality and operability of systems.
- Reports, responds to, and resolves customer requests. Interprets IT policies, standards, and guidelines and applies information security and information assurance policy, principles, and practices in the delivery of all services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must possess or obtain (within 6 months of employment) and maintain most applicable Computing Environment (CE) certificates of training.
- Plus a minimum Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent (or higher certification) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians, and DoDM 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce
- Qualification and Management Program within 6 months of hire date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a physical assessment, Tier III investigation, and Special Agreement Checks.
