One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: Working on Financial Systems/software projects, adhering to objectives, risk assessments, resource utilization; researching and interpreting financial policies, regulations, and statutes; performing financial systems analysis; designing, developing, testing and support of automated financial systems using Agile methodologies.
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment. If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period. Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service. - Serve as a project management consultant providing project management and systems support and analysis to a wide range of projects using Agile methodologies.
- Develop, revise, and maintain project management strategies, policies, guidelines and processes for innovative IT systems programs for the Directorate.
- Plans, scheduling, and coordinating project activities for various IT systems/software projects.
- Defines clients needs into requirements for new and modified systems and services based on analysis of business need and practices.
- Responsible for planning, conducting, and monitoring project development in accordance with industry standard system development lifecycle models and directorate guidance.
- Identifies strategies, schedules, and tracks accomplishment of all activities required to satisfy client requirements.
- Identifies actual or potential problem areas with current projects and follows up on action items ensuring they are completed on time.
