Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support a federal client's data modernization and integration efforts within the Department of Education. You will play a pivotal role in transforming how data is accessed, processed, and utilized across the organization to enable data-driven decision-making at scale.
What You'll Do
As a Data Engineer, you will:
- Extract data from silos and automate workflows to ensure seamless data availability for mission-critical analytics.
- Design and implement batch ETL processes and Kafka data streaming within Databricks and other modern data platforms.
- Optimize data feeds and infrastructure for quality, availability, and scalability across enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to design innovative solutions that enhance data integration and governance.
- Improve existing data pipelines, architecture, and process efficiency to support business objectives.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices for data modeling, security, and performance tuning.
Schedule, Salary & Shift Details
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; core support during East Coast business hours
- Salary: $160K - $180K
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required (Dual Citizens acceptable)
- Public Trust clearance required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL development
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Data Modeling - 1-2 years
- Agile Software Development Lifecycle - 3-5 years
- Data Integration - 3-5 years
- Data Engineering - 3-5 years
- Databricks Platform - 5+ years
