Full Description
Gateway Geospatial Group (G3) is seeking a Signal Processing Engineer to support the HF PED IDEAS program in providing advanced engineering, algorithm development, and software sustainment for high-frequency (HF) signal and tracking systems at NASIC. The selected candidate will enhance and sustain HF signal processing algorithms, ionospheric models, and PED software tools for both offline and forward collection operations.\r\nThis role will contribute to modernizing HF architectures, improving system performance, and implementing advanced analytic and automation solutions to meet mission requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and sustain HF signal processing and tracker algorithms to optimize data throughput and accuracy across NASIC\u2019s operational and R&D environments.
• Support the integration of ionospheric models and algorithm improvements into HF PED and TRGS baselines.
• Conduct algorithm performance tuning, data validation, and software verification/validation (V&V).
• Modernize HF PED architecture and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Collaborate with system administrators, analysts, and R&D engineers to support software enhancements, performance metrics, and operational improvements.
• Provide software tool development, rapid scripting, and process automation to improve production and operational workflows.
• Develop technical documentation, design specifications, and support deliverables in compliance with NASIC IT and cybersecurity guardrails.
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HF signal processing, radar or waveform analysis, or algorithm development.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ for modeling, simulation, and software engineering.
• Experience with data fusion, tracking algorithms, and ionospheric modeling.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Ability to perform system sustainment, optimization, and cloud migration in classified operational environments.
Desired Qualifications
Advanced understanding of HF radar phenomenology and propagation effects.
• Experience with ML model retraining, automation, and V&V support.
• Knowledge of NASIC PED modernization principles and cloud-enabled architectures.
• Experience developing and optimizing GUI interfaces for analyst and operator use.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including preparation of technical reports and system design artifacts.
• Experience in database management, movement of high volumes of data, and containerized software. Baseline knowledge of docker, Linux, Grafana, Kubernetes, Kafka, and DDS.
